How do I enroll my child in summer camp?

Complete the enrollment worksheet and all required forms, including emergency contact information and billing details. You may contact us directly at calkidsacademy@gmail.com with any questions. Payment is required to secure your child’s spot.

What fees are required to hold a spot?

To reserve your child’s space, the following are required:

  • $100 registration fee per family
  • $50 materials fee per child
  • First tuition payment based on attendance

What are the tuition rates?

Full-time tuition is $190 per child. Part-time tuition is $150 per child.

When are payments due?

Payment must be received by the Friday before your child attends camp. Late payments may incur additional fees.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept cash, check, and Zelle.

Are refunds or credits given for missed days?

No. Tuition is required regardless of absences due to illness, vacation, or other reasons.

What is the cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be made in writing at least two weeks in advance for any refund consideration. Less than two weeks’ notice requires full payment. Prepaid or discounted tuition is non-refundable.

What happens if I pick up my child late?

Children must be picked up by 6:00 PM. Late pickup is charged at $1.00 per minute per child, payable at pickup.

What should my child bring each day?

  • Water bottle
  • Snacks from home
  • Lunch (ready to eat)

Lunches will not be heated on field trip days.

What should my child bring on special days?

  • Swim days: towel, change of clothes, and their own sunscreen
  • Field trips: optional spending money
  • Movie days: sack lunch

Are field trips included?

Field trips are part of the program, but some may require an additional fee. To participate in SkyZone, students must have their own membership available at SkyZone Santa Clarita.

How does transportation work?

Children may be transported in CalKids vehicles. All students must follow safety rules. If your child requires a booster seat, the parent must provide it.

What if my child gets sick during the day?

You must pick up your child within two hours if they become ill during the day.

Can someone else pick up my child?

Yes, with written authorization. The authorized adult must show photo ID.

What are the behavior expectations?

Students must follow all program rules. A three-strike policy is in place and may result in dismissal without refund.

What are the camp themes?

Camp themes include Sports, Culinary, Patriotic, Science, Robotics & Engineering, History, Music and Drama, and Preparing for Going Back to School.

Are there academic activities during camp?

Yes. Camp includes morning academic sessions and afternoon enrichment activities such as entrepreneurship and creative programs.

How are swim days handled?

Swim days are scheduled in advance. If your child requires floaties, a parent must accompany them due to the Aquatics Center’s one-to-one requirement.

What happens in an emergency?

Staff will secure appropriate medical care and contact parents immediately. Please ensure emergency information is up to date.

Can the program refuse or discontinue service?

Yes. CalKids Learning Academy reserves the right to discontinue or refuse service at any time.
